“Disfellowship” is one of many Truths of God that we find to be both clear and mandatory in the Scriptures. Whether house church, organic church, simple church, small groups, cell church, institutional church, contemporary church, or any other kind of “church” — the Bible still reads the same on the topic. And, as such, this “scary topic” of “disFellowship” is part of God’s Heart, beyond question. Why would we have any motivation to ignore, disobey, or rationalize away something that is part of the very heart and mind of the One to whom we have abandoned ourselves in love? Of course we would never desire to pull away or choose self-love, self-preservation, or men’s foolish ways over our Father’s ways. “We make it our goal to please Him.” (Col.1:10, 2Cor.5:9)
